Find the AI your team is already using,  before it finds you.

Your employees aren’t waiting for a policy. They’re already using AI tools to get work done. Some of those tools are great. Some are a serious risk. Most haven’t been reviewed by anyone. We find them, assess them, and help you build a framework to manage AI adoption safely going forward.

── The Problem

Shadow AI is the new Shadow IT and it's already inside your organization.

It starts small. A sales rep uses an AI writing tool. An engineer connects a coding assistant with production access. A support team member runs customer data through a third-party AI summarizer.

None of it went through security review. None of it was procured. And none of it shows up in your asset inventory.
This isn’t a people problem. It’s a visibility problem. And without visibility, you can’t manage risk, meet compliance requirements, or answer when an enterprise customer asks how you govern AI usage.

── What We Do

A structured discovery process to map, assess, and govern AI across your organization.

We help you find what’s running, understand what it means for your security and compliance posture, and put a practical governance framework in place, without shutting down productivity or creating unnecessary friction for your team.

── Common Questions

What teams typically ask about AI Discovery.

What if we find tools we shouldn't be using?

We approach discovery without a shutdown-first mindset. The goal is visibility and governance, not enforcement. Where tools carry unacceptable risk, we’ll give you a clear recommendation — but the decision is yours.

We use a combination of structured interviews, department surveys, and technical methods including network and endpoint review where applicable. We’ll agree on the approach with you before we start.

We frame discovery as enablement, not surveillance. The message to your team is simple: we’re building a process to approve and support good AI tools, not to take them away. That framing typically gets strong cooperation.

The discovery process is designed to be lightweight for individual employees — mostly short surveys or brief conversations. We do the heavy lifting on the analysis side.

You get a full register of AI tools in use, a risk classification for each, and a governance framework to manage new tools going forward. We can also support implementation of the framework as a follow-on engagement.

AI Discovery focuses specifically on finding and governing the AI tools already in use across your organization — it’s about visibility and control. The AI Risk Assessment takes a broader look at the risks introduced by your AI use across product, operations, and compliance. Many clients run Discovery first, then use the findings to inform the Risk Assessment.
