Where should we start?
Most companies start with AI Discovery, because you cannot govern AI you have not found. If you build AI into your product, start with an AI Risk Assessment. If a customer or regulator is asking, start with AI Compliance. Not sure? That is what the call is for.
Does this apply if we only use third-party AI tools?
Yes. Third-party AI tools often carry more risk than custom ones, because most companies have not evaluated them properly. We include all AI in scope, built and bought.
What is the difference between AI Discovery and the AI Risk Assessment?
AI Discovery finds and governs the AI tools already in use across your organization. The AI Risk Assessment takes a broader look at the risks your AI use introduces across product, operations and compliance. Many clients run Discovery first and use its findings in the Risk Assessment.
Which AI frameworks do you cover?
ISO 42001, the EU AI Act, the NIST AI RMF, and GDPR as it applies to AI. If your customers or regulators reference another standard, we assess it too.
How does this relate to ISO 42001?
ISO 42001 is the international standard for AI management systems. AI Compliance builds the program it expects, and we are among the first accredited providers for ISO 42001. See ISO 42001.
How is an AI Captain different from a vCISO?
A vCISO covers information security broadly. Your AI Captain focuses on AI governance, risk and compliance. They are complementary, and many organizations have both. See vCISO.
We’re a small team. Is this realistic?
Yes. We scope every engagement to your size, maturity and priorities, and we do the heavy lifting so your team stays focused on the business.
