Penetration Testing Services

Manual, senior-led testing for teams that need more than a scan report. We test the way an attacker would, then stay with your team until the findings are closed.

We were very happy with the results and believe GRSee did a very thorough job with the penetration test.Marc Rubbinaccio, Head of Cybersecurity and Compliance, Secureframe

Senior testers only.

No junior handoffs, no template reports, no findings you have to translate before your engineers can act on them.

We map your application's logic, chain findings and prove what an adversary could actually reach, across applications, APIs, mobile, networks, cloud and business logic. Whether the trigger is compliance, a client demand, a product change or proactive security, the outcome is the same: clear risk visibility and actionable remediation.

Compliance, without the compromises.

  • Direct line to your auditorNo ticket queues. Message your audit team directly and get real answers, fast.
  • One team, every frameworkSOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI DSS, pen testing: one team, one timeline, no duplicate evidence.
  • We work with your stackWe plug into the compliance platforms you already use, adapt to your processes, or bring our own tooling at no extra cost.
  • Fixed scope, fixed priceOne clear quote upfront. No change orders, no surprise fees mid-audit.
  • Timelines you can plan aroundClear milestones from kickoff to report.
  • Always know where you standLive visibility into audit progress, no chasing status updates.
  • Built for fast-moving teamsWe understand cloud-native, SaaS and modern DevSecOps, so there is no explaining your stack from scratch.
  • Support that does not end at the reportWe stay in your corner after the report: ongoing guidance, not a one-time transaction.

Our penetration testing methodology.

Seven steps, led by senior testers from scoping to support after the report.

Scope

  1. Deep knowledge of scope and assetsComprehensive identification and understanding of in-scope assets and boundaries.

Discover

  1. Manual and automated discoveryHuman-led exploration combined with automated discovery and crawling for full coverage.
  2. Automated scansSecurity scans to identify vulnerabilities across in-scope assets.

Exploit

  1. Validation and analysisManual confirmation and analysis to remove false positives, confirm exploitability and clarify real-world impact.
  2. Manual exploitationControlled exploitation and targeted testing to validate risk and demonstrate realistic attack scenarios.

Report and support

  1. Reporting on findingsValidated findings, risk impact and actionable remediation recommendations.
  2. Post-test supportGuidance and revalidation after the report, so fixes are confirmed and risk actually goes down.

Manual pentest, or will an automated one do?

Worth asking honestly, because automated tools have got better and sometimes the answer is that you do not need us yet. Automation finds what it has a signature for. What it cannot do is reason about your business: a refund endpoint that should be unreachable, a tenant ID in a URL, three low findings that chain into your admin panel.

An automated test is probably enough if

  • You have a small codebase and a straightforward permission model
  • You need evidence for a specific framework or questionnaire on a deadline
  • You have never been tested and want a baseline first
  • Your auditor has confirmed in writing what they will accept

You need a manual test if

  • Your app has multi-tenancy, role hierarchies, approval workflows or money movement
  • You are in scope for PCI DSS, where the testing methodology itself is assessed
  • An enterprise customer or their security team will read the report
  • You have had automated testing and want to know what it missed
  • A breach would end the business rather than interrupt it

On "audit-viable": automated reports do get accepted, depending on the framework, the auditor and your risk assessment. PCI DSS Requirement 11.4 sets expectations on methodology and tester independence that a scan-driven report generally will not meet; SOC 2 and ISO 27001 leave auditors more latitude. Ask your auditor before you buy, or ask us. We will tell you if you do not need us.

Penetration testing questions, answered.

Still not sure? Bring your questions to a scoping call.

What is penetration testing?

A controlled security assessment where ethical hackers simulate real-world attacks against your systems, applications or infrastructure to uncover vulnerabilities before attackers do. Unlike automated scans alone, it validates whether weaknesses are actually exploitable and shows the real business risk behind them.

How is a penetration test different from a vulnerability scan?

A vulnerability scan is automated and identifies known issues at a high level. A penetration test combines automation with manual testing by experienced professionals who investigate, validate and attempt to exploit weaknesses. A scan tells you what might be wrong; a penetration test shows you what could actually be used against you.

Will testing disrupt our operations?

A well-run test is planned to minimize disruption. We coordinate in advance, define rules of engagement and use controlled methods. If needed, testing can often run in staging or lower environments instead of production.

What do you need from us before testing starts?

A clear scope, a point of contact, access details if authenticated testing is included, testing windows or operational constraints, and any high-risk areas you want us to focus on. We guide this closely so your team is never left guessing.

How long does a penetration test take?

Most take 2 to 6 weeks, depending on the number of assets, scope and complexity. Simpler tests may move faster; complex or multi-surface assessments take longer.

Do you retest after we fix the findings?

Yes. We retest to verify that vulnerabilities have been properly remediated and that fixes are effective before findings are closed.

Can a penetration test support our compliance requirements?

Yes. Penetration testing supports frameworks and client requirements such as PCI DSS, SOC 2, ISO 27001 and HIPAA, and strengthens audit readiness by validating that controls work in practice, not just on paper.

Do you provide remediation guidance?

Yes. Every engagement includes detailed guidance on the root cause, business impact and recommended fix for each finding, and we work with your teams to clarify technical issues during remediation.

Can we use an automated or AI-driven pentest instead?

Sometimes, yes. With a small codebase, a simple permission model and a deadline, an automated test may give you what you need. It will not reason about your business logic, and its findings tend to skew medium and low. We will tell you honestly which side of that line you are on.

Will our auditor accept the report?

For SOC 2, ISO 27001 and HIPAA, our reports are built to be used as evidence. For PCI DSS, the methodology and tester independence are themselves in scope, and we test accordingly. If your auditor has specific requirements, send them to us before we scope.

Who actually does the testing?

Named senior testers, assigned before you sign. You meet them on the kickoff call, and they are the same people on the debrief.
